Being a mother is one of greatest things here in the world and having twins is considered lucky charm to a parent.But what if God gives to or more and has 5 healthy babies at the same time. This happens at the University of Utah hospital in Salt Lake City. A 34-year-old Mexican mother Guillermina Garcia delivered five strong and healthy babies as she carries quintuplets infants for 32 weeks.
It is 7 weeks earlier than the single-birth pregnancy while it is 3 weeks higher than normal quintuplets pregnancies. Her doctors said that the longer period is beneficial to the babies to develop their lungs. Guillermina was the first one to successfully deliver five babies in the University Hospital
Several doctors and nurses help each other to successfully deliver the 3 girls and 2 boys. There is a total of 8 doctors and 12 nurses that are on her side when the operation is taking. USA Today reported that the couple uses medicines to improve the possibility of having multiple births. When they discovered that Guillermina is carrying 5 babies, they stay at the hospital and remain there until she gives birth.
The babies were born through cesarean section and they are healthy and strong. Their names are Esmeralda, Fatima, Marissa, Fernardo and Jonathan. Beside from this child, they already have a 1 one-year-old child. Guillermina was appreciated by the hospital staffs for having courage and capabilities of having many children and hear no complaint about it. The Utah Doula Association help them to open a bank account to let people help them through donations to raise these children. Having 5 children at the same time is a very rough job for a mother.
