Fidget spinners are famous nowadays, almost every child know this toy and many own one even adult have one, just like any other toy, fidget spinners are dangerous when a child accidentaly swallowed it.Johely Morelos from Albany, Oregon gave her 5-year-old son fidget spinner and constantly reminding him that don't put it in his mouth because of what she read about fidget spinner accident where a girl on Texas choke on one.
Johely told her son "I showed him pictures and said, Never put that in your mouth."
But her son didn't listen, the boy swallowed the fidget spinner. Johely panicking bring her son to the nearest hospital but unluckily the toy didn't manage to get out so they transferred him to another hospital.
“It was super scary. When they were putting a tube down his throat, he was throwing up blood. It was really scary for me to see he was in pain.” Johely said.
Luckily, Cayden recovered from the incident by having a surgery to remove the toy. Because of this incident, Johely hopes to raise awareness regarding this accident so it will not happen again to another person.
“I think it would be nice to know that these bearings can come out, when [kids] drop it,“ Johely said.
